Drews Industries has built its reputation on concrete that’s strong, smooth, and built to last. Every project we take on is handled with precision and pride.
We don’t cut corners or rush jobs. Our foremen are ACI-certified; trained to read the environment, adjust to conditions, and ensure your concrete is installed correctly the first time. It’s how we avoid the cracking, settling, and surface failures that too often come from shortcuts.
Whether you’re building new or upgrading existing surfaces, our goal is simple: to deliver concrete that looks great, performs better, and lasts longer.
Our team takes pride in craftsmanship, from consistent leveling and smooth finishing to careful curing. You’ll see the difference in the quality of your slab and feel it every time you drive, walk, or work on it.
Every pour we complete is backed by hands-on experience and attention to detail. We install new concrete for:
Drews Industries proudly installs residential concrete coatings across the Twin Cities metro area, including:
Our professional crews, led by ACI-certified foremen, don’t just pour and go. They bring technical skill and a deep understanding of how concrete performs in Minnesota’s climate. From reading temperature and humidity to adjusting mixes and curing methods, we do what it takes to get the job right.
We hold regular safety meetings and jobsite checks to ensure every project runs smoothly and safely for our crew and clients. That combination of knowledge, care, and consistency is why builders and homeowners alike trust Drews Industries for flatwork that stands the test of time.
Every Drews Industries project follows a process built around precision, timing, and communication. From the first estimate to the finished pour, we make sure you know what’s happening throughout the project.
Most flatwork projects are completed in one day, with minimal disruption to your routine.
We’ll visit your site to review the full scope of work, design preferences, access, and site conditions. With nearly five decades of experience, we’ll walk you through what goes into a high-quality concrete project so expectations are clear from the start. After evaluating the area, we take accurate measurements and prepare a detailed, itemized estimate. Once complete, we review everything with you to ensure full alignment before the project begins.
On your project start day, the Drews Industries foreman walks the site with you to confirm no changes or concerns. We then paint out the work area for a clear visual guide. Any removals—existing concrete, sod, or soil—are completed and hauled away. We prepare and compact the subgrade for proper drainage and stability, then set forms to the correct height, depth, and design. A reinforced rebar mat is placed for long-term strength. Once everything is set, you sign off on the layout so we’re ready to pour.
We use top-quality mix designs and techniques, including custom blends developed with Cemstone engineers that exceed industry standards. Most projects use a 4500 PSI mix with 6% air for strength and durability. Before the truck arrives, we protect surrounding areas with poly and double-check all formwork. Our certified finishers place and screed the concrete to proper depth, level, and drainage. The slab is finished to industry-leading standards, control joints are installed evenly, and a clean broom finish completes the surface. The area is then secured for safety.
After finishing and once the concrete reaches its initial set, we apply a high-quality curing compound. This protective coating slows evaporation and holds in the moisture needed for the cement to fully hydrate, helping the slab achieve maximum strength and durability. The compound is sprayed or rolled on to create a thin, temporary film that traps water inside the surface. While concrete continues curing over the full 30-day period, this step is essential for preventing cracking, discoloration, and early wear.
Once the pour and curing compound application are complete, we remove all poly used to protect surrounding areas. Forms are carefully stripped and loaded onto our trucks, and all remaining debris—lumber, metal, concrete fragments, and materials—is gathered and hauled away using shovels, wheelbarrows, or equipment as needed. We finish by blowing off and sweeping the entire area for a clean, professional presentation. Before leaving, we walk the completed site with you to confirm everything meets your expectations.
Once your concrete is poured, the best way to protect it is with a professional coating. Drews Industries installs coatings that guard against salt, moisture, chemicals, and everyday wear, perfect for garages, basements, patios, and commercial spaces.
Our coating systems are designed for Minnesota’s climate, using polyurea primers and polyaspartic topcoats that expand and contract without cracking or peeling. They add years of protection, cut down on maintenance, and can completely transform the look and lifespan of your concrete
At Drews Industries, we treat every project like it’s our own, using proven methods and materials that stand up to time, traffic, and weather.
If you’re ready to upgrade your property with flatwork that’s durable, smooth, and built to perform, we’re ready to get started.
